Burnett Circle Touring Route

The North Burnett region is located approximately four hours drive north of Brisbane and only one hour west of Bundaberg. The North Burnett encompasses six main townships - Biggenden, Eidsvold, Gayndah, Monto, Mt Perry and Mundubbera. These townships service around twenty-five villages and farming catchments. You will find the North Burnett is a real contrast to the coastal areas of our region. You'll discover rugged gorges, imposing mountain ranges, serene rural views, the Burnett River and numerous townships along the way offering country hospitality. You can camp in a National Park, bushwalk, fish in the many dams, enjoy fresh produce from numerous roadside stalls or step back in time at a historical museum. Generally, you can really 'get away from it all'. Take 'The Circle' as a side trip on your journey or travel through the district on the Burnett Highway (A3), which is part of the alternate route from Brisbane (or Sydney) right through to Rockhampton.
