Unearth your passion for food in Bundaberg with Bundy Food Tours guide Suzie Clarke. This is a small intimate day tour visiting local producers and suppliers to gather ingredients for a hands-on cooking class and lunch with locally acclaimed chef Gaylene Phillips. Starting with a behind the scenes tour of the seafood market with Sian and the fisherman at Grunske’s by the River followed by an introduction to sourdough with Rick Nelson at The Pocket Storehouse. Rick and Susan will make us coffee using local roasted Barking Dog Coffee then we will venture out to the farms. Our first encounter with a local farmer will be a wander through the amazing green house of Anthony Rehbein. Anthony will surprise and delight you with his produce. Then we will call in to the strawberry patch Tinaberries and meet the effervescent Tina McPherson. Then we will meander over to Breeze Bakery to meet Chef Gaylene, where we will enjoy taste sensations as we prepare a feast of local produce. The tour will finish at Grunske’s where you are welcome to continue with friends and enjoy the view.
