Bundaberg Region - Bundaberg Resilient Leadership Program

Bundaberg Resilient Leadership Program

Bundaberg Tourism is set to deliver the “Bundaberg Region Resilient Leadership and Mentoring Program.” This is made possible through a successful grant application under the Commonwealth/State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, through the Community Development program.

This exciting initiative begins in August 2021 and involves 3 x 1 day workshops and personalised 1:1 coaching until February 2022.

It’s aimed to make communities like ours more resilient in the face of adverse events and disasters and develop great leaders across the tourism, not for profit and business sectors.

“This is a wonderful professional development opportunity for people from all sectors across the Bundaberg region to develop your professional skills as a leader in your business or sector.

The opportunity to create Resilience Mentors is exciting and will strengthen our adaptive capacity to manage sudden change, and disruption, create industry connectedness and to flourish as a resilient region.”

Katherine Reid, CEO Bundaberg Tourism

Delivered by Bundaberg Tourism in partnership with the Institute for Tourism Leadership Australia

The Bundaberg Region Resilient Leadership and Mentoring Program will build leaders amongst professionals from the tourism, not for profit and business sectors in an integrated learning, coaching and mentoring process. The program, delivered by the Institute for Tourism Leadership Australia in partnership with Bundaberg Tourism brings contemporary, evidence based, leading edge leadership training which is currently being conducted in other regions across Australia.

The program will both skill professionals to become better leaders and to be mentors via a process of Excellence in Mentoring training. This will occur alongside the 1:1 coaching from the program facilitators.
