Come join us for a weekend of festivities as we celebrate the rich history and culture of this hinterland town, with the Ultimate Childers Festival Package. 

Kicking off Thursday 28 July, check in to your comfortable home away from home at the 4-star self-rated Burnett Riverside Hotel in a King Kitchenette Room nestled on the riverbanks of the mighty Burnett River in Bundaberg, just a 40min drive from the charming storybook town of Childers. Once you've settled in, spend your day exploring the region's local infused cafes or enjoy Childers Festival's FREE events such as an Art Walk from 10am-11am. 

Friday evening, head towards Childers for a cheeky Friday Session from 4 pm, before basking in the rich symphonies of Australian entertainment royalty, Kate Ceberano and her band of talented musicians at 6pm among heritage-listed walls of the Paragon Theatre, for a stunning one-night-only performance.

On Saturday, settle yourself among open picnic surrounds with stunning lake views with your ticket to Opera by the Lake and enjoy a two-hour fusion of operatic sounds by David De Vito and The Leading Men as they pay homage to musical theatre and Broadway showstoppers.

Uncover the family passion that has been crafting tasty brews for more than 50years at The Bundaberg Brewed Drinks Barrel with a self-guided tour and tasting of their unique and fruity flavour-filled range. Hinkler Hall of Aviation

Ticket is valid for 3 days from the date booked. No refunds or transfers for unredeemed tickets. Full terms and conditions available on the website www.hinklerhallofaviation.com

Burnett Riverside Hotel

Free Cancellation Policy up until 24 hours prior to arrival. Any bookings cancelled within 24 hours prior to arrival will incur a fee of the total price of the reservation This will be charged to the credit card given for security. Covid- refund is a case by case re- book or credit.

Bundaberg Brewed Drinks

If less than 24 hours notice is given a 50% cancellation fee will apply.

Bundaberg Rum Distillery T&Cs

The Bundaberg Rum Distillery is a fully-operational futuristic working site. We put safety first so we need to be sure your cool to comply with our safety regulations. Please read through our Health & Safety guidelines.

This is a working factory so:
- Don't drink any alcohol before you go on the tour.
- The tour is outdoors, so maybe check the weather and come prepared for said weather. You know, bottle of water, sunscreen, sunglasses, rain jacket, etc.
- If you are under 18 and want to visit The BDC Bondstore you must have a responsible adult with you the whole time you're there. Also we love having kids around but you should - - know there are no activities for kids outside the tour. Just saying.
- If you don't speak English, we have notes available in most common languages.

We have some highly flammable areas on site:
- You can't smoke anywhere near the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, including all car parks. Please be cool with this and use the butt bins provided.
- Please don't bring any electronic or battery operated devices.
- If you do bring something electronic that we don't allow in the distillery we'll give you a secure locker to put it in for free. So don't worry about your Camera, Watch, Mobile, Remote - Locking Car Keys, Hearing Aids and Bags, Pacemaker.

Getting around the site:
- There are several flights of stairs on the tour so it's probably not suitable for guests with mobility restrictions.
- If you're using a wheelchair or walking frame you can get around The BDC Bondstore and most of the tour. But unfortunately we can't allow motorised wheelchairs in the Distillery as we are a hazardous goods site.

Entry to the Tour is granted by presenting the Tour Ticket, with identification required for concession tickets or children’s tickets. Tour Tickets may be purchased for persons under the age of 18 years of age, but a responsible adult (with their own Tour Ticket) must supervise such persons at all times during the Tour.

Tour Tickets which are lost or damaged may be replaced upon contacting the customer service number 07 4131 2989. In the event a Tour cannot go ahead on the date set out on the Tour Ticket (including but not limited to maintenance or special events) then Diageo will contact You to arrange a refund or reschedule of the Tour.

It is an express condition of Your entry into the Tour that (a) You follow the direction of Diageo and its representatives and delegates at all time , including without limitation, any set out on Your Tour Ticket or advised to You by the tour guide during the course of the Tour and (b) so far as may be permissible at law You release, waive and discharge Diageo, its officers, directors, agents and employees of and from all liability, claims or demands for all injuries, losses, damages of any kind or nature to You or Your property, or to any minor under Your supervision, whilst on the property of Diageo and during the Tour.

You acknowledge that filming and photography will be prohibited in certain areas of the distillery and You agree to follow such directions at all times. No filming or photography for commercial purposes should be carried out on the Diageo premises during the Tour or otherwise without prior written consent of Diageo.
