Norval Park Camp Grounds is a quiet, coastal bush‑camping reserve located about 40 minutes north of Bundaberg, near Yandaran.
The campground sits just behind the dunes of Norval Park Beach, offering a peaceful, back‑to‑nature experience with easy access to long stretches of golden sand.
Norval Park is known for its natural, secluded feel. The sites are surrounded by coastal vegetation, shaded by trees, and positioned close enough to the shoreline that you can often hear the waves from camp. The campground provides a simple, low‑impact environment, ideal for visitors wanting a quiet escape, beach walks, fishing, or relaxing in a more rustic setting.
Facilities on Site
- Flushing toilets (limited water – handwashing only)
- One shelter and picnic tables near the day‑use area
- Rubbish skip bin at the park entrance
- Designated fire pits (BYO wood, subject to fire restrictions)
- Generators allowed between 6 am – 8 pm
- There are no showers, no potable water, and no powered sites, campers must come prepared.
- Campfires: All fires are to be contained to the designated fire pits and must be fully extinguished before leaving. Please adhere to the current conditions regarding fires at Norval Park Campgrounds fire bans and restrictions, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (qfes.qld.gov.au) You must provide your own firewood without damaging the habitat or environment surrounding the park. No cans or bottles in fire pits.
Beach camping is not permitted
Pets: Dogs are permitted with a maximum of two dogs per camp site. Dogs must be confined to the camp site or on a leash and under human control.
