National Parks & Natural Attractions

We don’t do things by halves here, and neither does nature.

Point the car in any direction to find rugged ranges, ancient volcanic plugs, quiet bushland, coastal conservation parks and beaches where wildlife still runs the show. It’s the kind of place where a short walk can turn into a full-blown adventure and a scenic drive might lead you somewhere spectacular.

Pull on the walking shoes, pack the camera and maybe bring a sense of direction. The wild bits of the region are well worth exploring.

National Parks

&

Conservation Parks

Our national and conservation parks protect some of the region’s most remarkable landscapes and wildlife.
You’ll find walking tracks that wind through bushland and up to breathtaking lookouts, quiet trails where the loudest thing around is the birdlife, and coastal parks where turtles, shorebirds and sea breezes steal the spotlight.

Some parks are made for an easy wander, others reward those willing to tackle a longer hike. Either way, they’re places to slow down, explore and appreciate the wild side of the Bundaberg and North Burnett region.

Scenic Drives, Hiking & 4WD

Adventures

If you like your nature with a bit of action, you’re in the right place.

Hit the road for scenic drives through the countryside, lace up the boots for a proper bushwalk, or take the 4WD out to reach the more remote corners of the region. From forest tracks and mountain lookouts to sandy coastal routes, there’s plenty of terrain to explore.

Just remember to pack water, check conditions and leave nothing behind but tyre tracks and footprints.
