Bundaberg Region - Monsoon Aquatics

Join Monsoon Aquatics at an Australian first, land-based reef experience, combining citizen science, innovation, technology and coral farming. Domestic and international visitors join a behind the scenes interpretative tour and coral fragging experience, whilst learning more about the beauty and wonder of the Great Barrier Reef.

Here at Monsoon Aquatics, we feel that everyone should have access to admire, learn and experience first-hand the wonders of the coral world. On our one-hour farm tour, guests get to witness up close the beauty of up to 200 different species of coral found off the Australian coast.

On the tour you will learn what coral is and how it, grows, eats, and reproduces. Watch coral propagation or fragging and discover how corals can be sustainably reproduced. Scientists at heart, Monsoon both propagate and spawn coral on site, with a view to contributing to reef restoration efforts through replanting on the Great Barrier Reef in the long term.

Whether you are a reef enthusiast, a curious learner, or just looking for a fun and educational activity, the Monsoon Aquatics Coral Farm tour will surely impress and inspire you.
