Get the inside scoop on what the Bundaberg region has to offer

Plan ahead for a good night's rest!

Visitors to Bundaberg are spoilt for choice, with an endless array of natural wonders, exciting adventures and culinary experiences. From the adorable Mon Repos turtle hatchlings making their way down the beach, to the diversity and culinary expertise of primary producers and dining establishments, and of course the gateway to the stunning Southern Great Barrier Reef, the region has so much to offer - no matter what you're looking for.

With so many things on offer, it makes sense that we see all kinds of visitors stopping by. No matter your budget or your needs, there is the perfect accommodation to suit!

Let's explore just some of the brilliant places for you to lay your head:

Caravan Parks

Grey nomads and families, park this way for budget-friendly fun!
No matter if you're travelling the country in your own van, or want to rent a van or even a cabin for a budget and family-friendly option, Bundaberg has a number of caravan parks to offer. Perfect for those travelling in a group or with pets, the region boasts a range of caravan parks with your choice of inland (try the Captain Cook Holiday Park in Seventeen Seventy) the river  or if you're heading to Bargara Beach the beach (why not cruise on in to The Absolute Oceanfront Caravan Park?). Need a light stop? You can also view a list of free refreshment stops for vans and motor homes on the Bundaberg Regional Council website. Explore the raw and prolific start of the beautiful Bundaberg North Burnett region and stop in at Childers, home to four wineries and the chic rustic Childers Eco-Lodge.

Camping.... Or maybe glamping?

With natural beauty in such abundance, it's no surprise that the area has a number of excellent options for those who prefer to snooze al fresco. With its reputation as one of Queensland's premier freshwater barramundi fisheries, Lake Monduran offers the avid fisherman the chance to cast a line (or two!). For the adventurous, Cordalba State Forest's bike and even horse riding trails (BYO pony) will see you exploring your wild side, while the kids burn off some steam. But for those who prefer the glamour of modern convenience, Woodgate Beach Tourist Park offers premium facilities, including a laundry, dedicated dishwashing space (no more scrubbing in a bucket of cold water!) and communal kitchen.

Drive right in for motel and hotel accommodation

Popular with families, the region's many three and even four star hotels offer the convenience of all of the mod cons at a variety of price points to suit any family's holiday aspirations. For example, the Alexandra Park Motor Inn offers families all of the essentials in a colonial-infused setting that is walking distance the zoo, and the centre of town. Only a short stroll up the dunes from Kelly's Beach you'll find nestled Kelly's Beach Resort, with eco-friendly cabins suitable for any beach lover.

Relax, indulge and reward yourself with luxury accommodation

Maybe it's a special weekend away (did someone say babymoon?) or perhaps you just enjoy the finer things. Whatever the reason, you can spoil yourself in Bundaberg with a range of 5 and 4.5 star accommodation options on offer, such as the sublime C Bargara, the indulgent Manta Bargara Resort or the sumptuous The Point at Bargara. Treat yourself!

Immerse yourself in the experience with a farmstay

No matter if you're bringing the family, or planning a special trip for two – a farmstay experience is your chance to get away from it all, and experience life from another perspective. The Marchioness Farmstay offers travellers a range of country experiences from stockwork to woodchop and even chainsaw displays, with a variety of accommodation options ranging from camp sites through to bed and breakfast accommodation. Mango Paradise Bed and Barra, a working cane and fish farm, lets you explore, fish, relax and show the kids exactly where mangos, lychees and bananas come from – they might be surprised to know that it's not the grocery store!

And really... that's just the start. From apartment accommodation or holiday homes through to backpackers, no matter your budget or preference, the Bundaberg North Burnett region has something to suit!
