COVID-19 Industry Support

FROM THE CEO

With the current challenges facing our tourism industry and uncertainty on what the next year will look like for global travel, it’s now more than ever that we need to band together as Team Bundaberg, to work strategically, to market collectively and to unite as a single voice for the destination.

With the assistance of our partners at QTIC and TEQ, we are taking every opportunity to advocate for support for the industry, so please continue to feed information through to us about the effects on your business.

To save you time, we have collated a range of resources for you below and are updating with available information daily. If there is anything that we’ve missed, let us know!

To assist you with COVID Safe Planning within your business, we have created this webpage outlining the steps required for Industry COVID SAFE Plans and COVID Safe Checklists in line with Stage 3.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team if there is anything you need. We are in this together.

CHANGES TO TRAVEL & MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS

Queensland has reached 80% double-dose vaccination. From 1am AEST Monday 13 December 2021, border restrictions have eased for people travelling to Queensland from a hotspot, the border zone and overseas.  Full and current details can be found at https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/urgent-covid-19-update

To help keep everyone safe and make contact tracing easier with eased restrictions, the Queensland Government has introduced a travel declaration for those travelling into Queensland and has expended the use of the Check In Qld app.

Mandatory face mask requirements for all of Queensland are in place, with increased requirements from 2 January.  Full details can be found here.

CHANGES TO RESTRICTIONS ON BUSINESSES

From 17 December 2021, restrictions on businesses have been further eased. Many businesses and venues are now able to operate at full capacity.  However, there are restrictions on people who are not fully vaccinated.
