Auburn River National Park

Auburn River National Park

The scenic Auburn River flows through a steep-sided gorge, tumbling over giant salmon-coloured granite boulders that have been carved by the river over many years. Auburn River National Park provides visitors with many walking tracks, including a 600 metre (return) track leads to a lookout far above the river - take the 3.2 kilometre (return) gentle walk along the top of the gorge above the river. For the more adventurous visitor Auburn River National Park offers a quite strenuous trail that winds down the side of the gorge to the river below (1.5 kilometre return). Immerse yourself in nature in this incredibly beautiful area of the North Burnett and Sandstone Wilderness!

Auburn River National Park is located approximately 255km west of Maryborough or 40km south-west of Mundubbera.
