CAROLYN
ABOUT CAROLYN
How long have you lived in the Bundaberg Region?2 years, but I was a regular visitor for 15 years before moving to Bundaberg
What is your favourite thing to do here? The Hinkler Hall of Aviation — I’m unashamedly Bert Hinkler obsessed! I also love exploring the region and going on long afternoon walks along the river or our beautiful beaches when I’m not obsessing about all things Bert.
Why are you volunteering? I’m passionate about Bundaberg and the surrounding regions. I love chatting with visitors, sharing stories, helping them discover the best places to explore, and telling them where to go (in a nice way). Volunteering lets me give back to a place I genuinely love and help others fall in love with it too.

Tara
ABOUT Tara
How long have you lived in the Bundaberg Region? I’ve called Bundaberg home since 2019 after living in a number of larger cities and regional towns throughout Queensland.
What is your favourite thing to do here? Getting out and about! Whether it’s supporting local events, spending time at our beautiful beaches, discovering new local businesses, or simply enjoying everything our region has to offer with my husband Nathan and our family, we’re always looking for ways to get involved.
Why are you volunteering?
Volunteering with Bundaberg Tourism was an easy decision. As a real estate agent, I believe it’s important to be more than someone who sells houses—I want to be a true local expert. Knowing what makes our region special, what events are happening, and the incredible experiences available helps me showcase the lifestyle that comes with living here.
Nathan and I love supporting our community and getting involved wherever we can. Having lived in both big cities and other regional towns, I can honestly say Bundaberg’s community spirit is second to none. I love seeing our region continue to grow and thrive, and I’m passionate about helping visitors and locals alike discover everything that makes Bundaberg such a wonderful place to live, work and explore.
