The Bundaberg Region Welcomes You Local Ambassador Program is your chance to show off your tourism and hospitality business by giving a little extra love to locals playing tour guide with their out-of-town visitors. BT will promote the Program through a local marketing & PR campaign launching at the start of August, and it won’t cost you a cent!
It’s a win for locals, a win for their guests, and definitely a win for you!
This brand-spanking-new initiative is brought to you by Bundaberg Tourism as part of the Bundaberg Welcomes You program.

HOW IT WORKS
STEP 1 – DESIGN YOUR DEAL
Decide on what you will offer locals hosting out-of-town guests – think cheeky discounts or fun add-ons to encourage them to spend their time (and money!) in your business. It can already be something you offer, or a brand-new deal created just for the campaign – it’s your choice!
Examples
- Bring two out-of-Region guests and get 10% off your total order!
- Bring three out-of-Region guests and you get in for free!
The Fine Print
Be sure to have your terms and conditions clearly defined and published on your website. These should include:
- Proof of address for all guests and locals required
All deals must be offered to residents of postcodes 4660, 4670, 4671 & 4673) - Validity dates
Must run until 30 June 2026 or beyond - Any block-out dates when the deal won’t apply
