From Friday 7 June – Sunday 9 June the Bundaberg region will be overflowing with delicious foodie events for the June Taste Bundaberg Festival.

What is Taste Bundaberg Festival? Held over four tasty weekends, Taste Bundaberg Festival is an invitation to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty, pile plates high and leave glasses empty. Come, take a seat at The Great Bundaberg Feast.

June is all about celebrating the flourishing water ways and coastal lifestyle that the Bundaberg region is blessed with so check-in somewhere waterfront to enjoy our lifestyle.

Luscious Lunch

After settling in and building up an appetite, visit a local café where farm-gate-to-plate dining is the way of life.

Try: For a lunch with bubbles head to Water St Kitchen. This beautifully aesthetic café is situated in suburbia and showcases the best and freshest Bundaberg has to offer. Our pick from their lunch menu is the 'Greensill Sweet Potato Gnocchi with tomatoes, rocket and pecorino' – give it a go!

Seafood Degustation


Experience an evening of fresh local seafood carefully crafted into a mouth-watering seven-course Seafood Degustation in the coastal streetscape of Burnett Heads.

Bundy Food Tours: Saturday Morning Taste of Bundaberg Experience

Kicking off at 7.30am and finishing at 11.30am this morning tour is packed with passion including The Pocket storehouse for sourdough, Marto Farms for zucchinis, Forbidden Figs and other produce at Redridge Produce as well as a sensational morning tea with espresso coffee roasted at Alloway Farm Market. Come along and meet our farmers as well Barking Dog Roaster Tom, Rick at Kalki Moon Distillery & Brewing Co. and the team at Bargara Brewing Co.

Iconic Bundaberg Drinks

When you think 'Bundaberg' you probably think Bundaberg Rum and Bundaberg Ginger Beer (Bundaberg Brewed Drinks). Visit these iconic drinks products on your next trip to the rum capital and discover how your favourite brew is made.

Try: Take a tour through the newly renovated Bundaberg Brewed Drinks Barrel, experience the interactive museum, taste your way through all 14 flavours and take how a mixed 6 pack of your choosing! For something a little stronger visit Bundaberg Rum and enjoy a Bundaberg Rum Distillery Experience. Stroll atyour own pace through the museum, uncovering Bundaberg Rum's rich past, before touring the facility with a Bundaberg Rum legend. If you're a big fan of rum, you can even become a master blender for the day and Blend Your Own Rum!

Feast On See

A block from the beach on See St, experience an evening of tapas-style dining showcasing local produce at Casablanca On See before progressing to the Windmill Cafe Bargara for a delicious dessert. With live music and an extensive local drinks menu, this is sure to be an evening to remember beside the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

The Big Bargara Breakfast

Find out why Bundaberg flocks to Bargara each weekend for breakfast. Grab a table with your girls at one of our many coastal cafes and enjoy fresh produce crafted into delicious dishes. Cafes will also be dishing up something extra special for The Big Bargara Breakfast so check their special boards!

Try: Casablanca On See's Big Bargara Breakfast Special, 'Roasted Mortimers Sweet Potato topped with Baby Spinach, Roasted Alloway Farm Markets Capsicum, and Barritt's Chorizo Jam. With a side of smashed lime (Bundy Limes), Alloway Farm Market Avocado topped with a warm forbidden fig and a poached egg. Finished off with a drizzle of house made basil pesto and crushed macadamias.'

Belly-Up Beachside

After having a feed spend the morning belly-up and beachside at one of our many beaches. Enjoy the surf at Neilson's, sunbake at Elliott Heads or find a rock pooled lagoon along the coast for some snorkelling. You can even hire a bike and ride from beach to beach if you are looking to burn off breakfast (or feel less guilty about the gelato you're craving from The Windmill Café!).

Saucing Local

Join us for cocktails and canapes overlooking the tranquil gardens of Kelly's Beach Resort. Enjoy a vast array of local produce-rich canapes and cocktails using locally crafted spirits. Spend an afternoon hearing from local producers and enjoying time with your closest friends.
