Understand and Inspire Your Audience
Supporting the largest concentration of nesting turtles on the East coast of Australia and the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting population in the South Pacific, The Mon Repos Turtle Encounter operated by passionate Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Rangers and volunteers is a primary draw card for the region across summer holidays.
South East Queenslanders are Mon Repos’ biggest fans, and Queenslanders within a 4-hour drive of Bundaberg, Sydney-siders and Melbournites were all key areas from which the 27,000 visitors who visited Mon Repos and the Bundaberg Region across the last season arrived from.
While Bundaberg is known worldwide as the home of Australia’s favourite rum and ginger beer, the region is earning international recognition as a significant eco-tourism destination that offers restorative experiences for the soul and give back to the environment in which they are taking place.
These enriching experiences offer visitors the chance to connect with our natural backyard, cementing a place in their hearts with memories to be shared with friends and family for years to come.
