Visitor Services

Visitor Experience is one of Bundaberg Tourism's priorities areas.  The visitor experience reflects a united Bundaberg region that delivers on the promise of our foundational pillars of sustainability, reef custodians and Taste Bundaberg.

Visitor Information Centres are a key element of the region’s overall tourism investment. The Bundaberg and Childers VICs continued to play a crucial role in informing and educating visitors; influencing visitor behaviour and trip decisions; contributing to economic benefits derived from tourism; inspiring community pride; and acting as a key touch point for locals.

Our visitor services encompass more than our VICs, however, as we offer a variety of services to our region's guests including booking services, destination collateral, industry education including famils, and more.

VOLUNTEER AMBASSADORS

Crucial to our Visitor Information Centres are our team of enthusiastic and committed volunteer ambassadors. At the frontline of visitor services at the Bundaberg and Childers Visitor Information Centres, the volunteer ambassadors offer our guests local knowledge and enthusiasm as they promote our region, our industry and our members.

BROCHURE DISTRIBUTION SERVICE

Putting your business in the hands of more visitors, more often.

As part of our evolving Visitor Information Services model, Bundaberg Tourism is proud to offer a new Brochure Distribution Service designed to boost your visibility, strengthen regional visitor touchpoints, and provide consistent, high-quality information across the Bundaberg region.

Whether you are looking to drive bookings, increase brand presence, or simply get your brochures into more hands, this service streamlines the process and ensures your business is represented wherever visitors begin their journey.

What’s included:

  • Scheduled Brochure Deliveries: Regular distribution of member brochures, Visitor Guides and regional Maps to designated locations across the region.
  • Top Up Requests: on demand replenishment during busy/peak visitation periods.
  • Supply to Community Visitor Centres & Visitor Touchpoints: ensuring a consistent, region-wide presence across community-led Visitor Centres, key attractions, tour departure points and high-traffic hotspots.
  • Face to Face Member Contact: Every distribution run doubles as an opportunity for BT to connect, listen and support your business.

Why it Matters:

  • More visibility for your business at touchpoints across the region
  • More time for you to focus on delivering great experiences in your business
  • More consistency in the information presented about our region

This service is exclusive to Bundaberg Tourism members.

Service Pricing:

To keep this program sustainable, consistent and region-wide, brochure distribution is offered as an optional add-on to your membership:

  • Quarterly Package: $70 per quarter; Perfect for operators who want flexibility and the ability to scale distribution across the year.
  • Annual Package: $250 per year; Secure your position on the distribution run for the full 12 months and enjoy priority scheduling and guaranteed inclusion.
  • Both options give your business consistent visibility, regular top-ups, and access to visitor touchpoints across the Bundaberg region.

Destination Collateral

Bundaberg Tourism’s ongoing regional collateral distribution strategy aims to promote dispersal of visitors within the Bundaberg region. Key activities include ensuring joint SGBR collateral is available to Visitor Information Centres (VICs) across Australia, that Bundaberg collateral is at VICs within a 400km drive radius of the region, a proactive distribution program to regional businesses, and the availability of all of Bundaberg Tourism’s collateral for download from bundabergregion.org.

Drop into our Bundaberg Tourism Corporate Office or call and ask for a delivery of Visitors Guides, Visitor Maps and other collateral for distribution to your guests

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Country on which we work, live and play across Bundaberg and the North Burnett, Taribelang Bunda, Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, Bailai and the Wakka Wakka and Auburn Hawkwood (Wulli Wulli) People as the Traditional Custodians of the precious land, water and sea country on which we all love to work, live and play.
