WORKSHOPS & Webinars
To fill industry skills gaps and meet the needs of a growing travel market, QTIC and the Queensland Government are working together to help tourism and hospitality operators upskill their staff inhouse.
We invite you to take advantage of this free workforce development opportunity to onboard, retain, and reskill your staff through online micro-credentialing courses.
The bite-sized and flexible courses are a great way to expediate the upskilling of staff and reduce the cost of onboarding new employees. With staff trained in as little as 40 minutes.
COVID-19 has significantly disrupted many of the assumptions and tools that business leaders rely on for decision-making, and therefore a solid framework for action and moving forward is essential. Four key business activities have been identified to help Queensland tourism businesses to prepare for reopening and to be competitive in a primarily domestic market for 2020/21 including: pivot products and innovation, develop trade and new distribution channels, and review and modify existing marketing and promotional strategies.
This initiative is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its Tourism Industry Business Capability Development Program.
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Tourism Australia is hosting a series of weekly webinars with different guest speakers, including
• Susan Coghill, Chief Marketing Officer, Tourism Australia
• Lau Hui Ling, General Manager, Brand and Marketing, Singapore Airlines
• Australia’s Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, the Hon. Dan Tehan MP.
• Fiona Carruthers, Travel Editor, the Australian Financial Review
• Former Federal Minister for Tourism, the Hon. Martin Ferguson AM
