Feeding our visitors these school holidays

As you are all aware the school holidays are upon us. The great news from many accommodation operators is that the holidays will be a busy one.  It is fantastic to think of our region buzzing with visitors again however because of the COVID-19 restrictions placed on our hospitality operators many will be operating at half or less capacity.   Everyone knows food and holidays go hand in hand so we wanted to share some tools on how we as a destination can help our visitors make the most out of their foodie experience while they holiday in our destination.

It is important that our visitors are getting the same positive and clear communication from every touchpoint.

SIGNAGE

Please click here for some front desk and or compendium signage encouraging your visitors to book in advance and access the webpage where they can see all the available dining options in our region.

HAVE YOU UPDATED YOUR LISTINGS

Also if you haven’t had the opportunity to update your businesses operating hours  on ATWD, Google and Facebook it would be a great idea to do so before all the holiday visitors arrive.

If you are a hospitality or foodie business, please keep us up to date with your opening hours, maximum guests, any time limits or conditions of bookings, booking channels (e.g. online, over the phone), etc so we can keep our Take It Away pages up to date.

SHARING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

We will be releasing a series of posts and blogs across our Facebook and Instagram pages (@VisitBundaberg and @TasteBundaberg) to keep our region’s guests and community aware of the best way to have a great food experience over the school holidays in light of COVID restrictions.  Please share these with your audiences so that we’re all pushing the same message.

We wish you all the best in welcoming the many visitors to the region and please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can assist in any way
