  • Collaboration: Partners receive 12-month recognition, an agreement, and quarterly check-ins.

A thriving economy and happy community doesn’t happen in isolation … it’s built by people, powered by community, and strengthened through collaboration.

At Bundaberg Tourism, we recognise the vital role that community, sports and volunteer-led organisations play in shaping the spirit and experience of our region.

Our Community Partnership Program brings this collective energy together, formally recognising organisations who share our values and are committed to contributing to a stronger, more connected Bundaberg and North Burnett Region.

This is about alignment, shared purpose and working as one region to deliver meaningful outcomes for our communities and our visitor economy.

Expression of Interest (EOI)

Across Bundaberg and North Burnett, there are incredible organisations quietly doing powerful work, building pride, preserving culture, supporting community and creating experiences that make our region what it is.

This program is about standing alongside those organisations and saying: we’re stronger when we work together.
Community Partner status recognises organisations that are aligned with our destination vision and committed to a whole-of-region approach. Importantly, this is not a marketing or discount program. It’s a partnership built on shared values, collaboration and impact.

Because when we work together, the impact of what we create as a region is often closer than we think, and greater than we imagine.

Why Join? What’s in It for Your Organisation

Being a Community Partner means more than recognition – it’s a chance to:

  • Amplify your impact: Gain visibility and credibility by being part of a region-wide initiative that showcases your organisation’s work.
  • Access collaboration opportunities: Connect with like-minded organisations, share resources, and create meaningful projects together.
  • Influence regional priorities: Have your voice heard in shaping strategies that affect your community and the local visitor economy.
  • Strengthen your networks: Regular check-ins and forums create opportunities for partnerships, knowledge-sharing, and support.
  • Be recognised for your values: Formal acknowledgment of your contribution demonstrates your commitment to community and region-wide outcomes.

Importantly, this is not a marketing or discount program. It’s a partnership built on shared values, collaboration, and real impact—benefiting your organisation as much as the wider region.

How to become a Community Partner

Community Partners may:

  • Be invited by Bundaberg Tourism; or
  • Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) at any time.

What the EOI involves

The EOI is a short application designed to help us understand your organisation and explore how we can work together.

We’ll ask about:

  • Your organisation’s purpose, structure and volunteer base
  • How you contribute to the Bundaberg and/or North Burnett region
  • Examples of collaboration or partnership with others
  • Your commitment to a whole of region approach
  • Alignment with our values, Code of Conduct and destination priorities

All EOIs are assessed against clear criteria to ensure the program remains fair, transparent and focused on delivering meaningful regional outcomes.

What happens next?

If successful:

  • Community Partner status is offered for 12 months
  • A simple formal recognition agreement (MOU) is put in place
  • We’ll connect through quarterly check ins to share ideas, collaborate and strengthen alignment.

Partnerships are reviewed annually to ensure they remain active, values-aligned and mutually beneficial.

If you’re passionate about the region and believe in the power of working together, we’d love to hear from you.
