Accessible Tourism in Queensland training
You are invited to attend a free face-to-face training session delivered by Get Skilled Access on behalf of the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport as part of the Accessible Tourism in Queensland project. The sessions includes a 90-minute presentation for Queensland tourism businesses and local government areas, covering all aspects of disability inclusion and accessibility for frontline tourism staff and provide the skills to welcome guests with disability at your service, attraction or business.

The Queensland Government’s 2022 Growing Queensland Business Roadshow is an opportunity to connect with representatives from your local council and state government, as well as get practical tips and information on government tendering, greening your business and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Mentoring for Growth one-on-ones

Free and confidential 30-minute mentoring sessions are available where small businesses can talk freely with experienced Mentoring for Growth business mentors about challenges or issues you may be facing in your business and get some real-world ideas, insights and tips.

In these sessions topics like doing business with government, finance and cashflow, growth strategies, marketing and sales, business development and human resources can be discussed. See the mentoring registration details below.

More charging locations for Queensland Electric Super Highway

The Queensland Electric Super Highway (QESH) offers 31 charging sites connecting travellers with electric vehicles from Coolangatta to Port Douglas and from Brisbane to Toowoomba.

All fast chargers are convenient and close to major highways with existing amenities available like restaurants, cafes and shops. To access the QESH charging stations and to check the status of charging site locations, travellers require a Chargefox account.

In addition to the QESH charging stations, there are public charging stations available that will continue to come online across Queensland including shopping centres, car parks and tourist locations. PlugShare has a charging station online tool and an App for charging locations. You can find out more about public charging stations on the PlugShare website.
