Annual Campaigns

Campaign Overview

After many years of heavy investment by Bundaberg Tourism, summers have become our reliable peak season for visitors from South East Queensland, especially across the school holiday months.

For the 2024/25 Summer Campaign, we’re aligning our investment to build brand awareness through social media marketing into emerging markets and are offering members the opportunity to have their product or experience promoted alongside the destination messaging Bundaberg Tourism is curating in our target markets.

With the collective efforts of multiple operators, this co-operative marketing approach will provide more impactful and economical results than individual efforts. We are all stronger as a unified and collaborative destination - as Team Bundaberg, providing travellers with more reasons to visit, stay longer and play harder.

To get involved in the destinations Summer Campaign or for more information on the co-operative marketing opportunities, please click the link below or contact BT’s Grace Boothman.

Blog

At the heart of destination marketing is storytelling. An extension to our campaigns and brand, our visitors are already engaging with the stories of Bundaberg North Burnett through our blog and associated social media strategy. Moving toward a model of experience promotion with an authentic local voice, we are seeing increased engagement and strong website visitation.

The blog pages in 2021/22 attracted over 130,000 unique page views, or 16% of the total website traffic, with viewers spending an average of 8 minutes and 41 seconds on each blog page.

Leverage our engaged audiences by sponsoring a blog. Blog sponsorship includes a purpose-written narrative of 300-500 words including two rounds of edits, uploading of a maximum of four (4) of your own images OR four (4) galleries of visitors images, and a sponsored social media post targeting agreed audiences (sponsored spend of $100).
