The Bundaberg region is made up of a diverse group of communities with passionate people, natural assets and extraordinary visitor experiences. Bundaberg Tourism aims to represent the entire region and its experiences and can only do that with the proactive support and engagement with residents and business owners across the region.

We work in an extremely competitive global marketplace and as the world opens up to travel again after the constraints of the pandemic – its only going to get more competitive. The success of the Bundaberg region is dependent on how we work together as a region.

Bundaberg Tourism makes a commitment to the principle and practice of partnership and collaboration, and to ensuring that our work with our industry and stakeholders is participative and complimentary, rather than duplicative and competitive. For us to do this effectively, we rely on the input and partnership of the communities that make up our region.

To help channel the collective efforts of the tourism industry and communities of our region, we have established several Tourism Advisory Groups (TAG).

These TAG’s aim to engage the tourism industry and business community with the activity of Bundaberg Tourism for the collective efforts of the region. They will help guide and inform Bundaberg Tourism in supporting the community in tourism, marketing, and experience development. As well as discuss opportunities and challenges for tourism development and visitor experience across the region. The key aim of our Tourism Advisory Groups is to bring a group of people together with a common purpose working towards the greater good for the community they support and the broader Bundaberg region.

The first meeting for 2022 of the Tourism Advisory Groups will be in April and all participants will be informed directly on time and location. Terms of Reference for Tourism Advisory Groups have been drafted and available for your review. These will be finalised and agreed on at the first meetings.
