A Collaboration of Flavours

Winterfeast 2017 saw the first ever Chilli & Lime Fiesta @ Riverfeast, a celebration of the subtropical flavours of chilli & lime grown in the region. This year things are heating up again with the spicy event back for another year of hard-hitting heat and bursts of zesty flavour. The fiesta sees three local business come together in collaboration to showcase the intense flavours the region has to offer.

Riverfeast partners with Austchilli and Bundy Limes to pull off this mouth-numbing event. Austchilli is a family run business producing in the Bundaberg region for over 20 years. Bundy Limes is a dot on the map of lime growers with it's small, boutique orchard of Tahitian limes. This family-owned business is only 6 years old and owner Linda Vickers attributes her growing knowledge to the local farmers and patient people she has come to meet along the way. At Bundy Limes nothing is off a factory line and everything is picked, packed and delivered by hand to their customers in 24 hours. With dreams of national and international lime market domination, keep your eyes peeled for another internationally renowned Bundaberg grown product.

Whilst the Chilli & Lime Fiesta @ Riverfeast offers Bundy Limes and Austchilli  the opportunity to collaborate, this is not the first time the two companies have joined forces. Driven by the oldest story in the book of economy, supply and demand, a meeting between Bundy Limes and Austchilli at a Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers meeting led to a business opportunity for both companies. Bundy Limes now provides limes for Austchilli for use in many of their vegetable, herb and chilli puree products, showcasing two of Bundaberg's best products to the world. The Fiesta gives Bundy Limes and Austchilli the opportunity to celebrate their collaboration and the regions hottest flavours.
