To further develop destination marketing strategies, a PhD Candidate from James Cook University, Karmen Lužar, is investigating how the tourism industry and universities may work together to add new dimensions to the tourism experience.

Next Monday 12th kicks off the ticket sales for the Mon Repos Turtle Encounter tours and the beginning of our Summer Season marketing activity. This year has truly shown the strength and resilience of our tourism industry, and it is wonderful to see visitors and locals buzzing with the excitement of our magical turtles and natural environments that we have right here in our backyard.

Bundaberg Today: Virtual Reality 

To inspire visitors to extend their length of stay in the region, we have recently installed a new Virtual Reality experience in our Bundaberg Visitor Information Centre.

Bundaberg Today: Mon Repos and Our Turtles 

Every year from November to March, the shores of Mon Repos comes alive as mother turtles haul themselves up the beach to nest and hatchlings begin the first steps of their journey as they make their mad dash to the sea.
